Chapter 3

Well it is day 5 here and the days have just been swallowed up by talking, going out to do small errands, a few shopping expeditions and doing baby-sitting or pick-up and drop-off jobs.
Yesterday, Thursday, Uncle Mike had to work at the Baseball park so I got called in to do the morning with Lucca. Krista was to arrive at 12.15 to pick us both up before picking up Noah to go to Burlingame  for Noah’s time with the speech therapist in the afternoon. Auntie Lindy was to meet us in Burlingame for a quick lunch and then the boys and I would go with her while Krista went back to work.   This is kind of how the day worked out except for the fact that my morning session with Lucca did not go as planned. Even though everyone said how easy he went down for his morning nap, he had other ideas and I did not manage to get him to take a nap. And when he is awake he is moving every minute.  Once we were on the move in the afternoon, Lucca powered on, destroyed the restaurant at lunch and climbed up and down from small and large chairs in the waiting room of the hospital where Noah has his speech session. Only on the way home at 3.15 did he finally fall asleep in the car. So the kid has amazing energy levels.
Noah is so much more quiet but he has amazing patience and he likes to give running reports of what Lucca is doing  during the day, such as “lucca fell down”, which is a regular occurrence. Noah has a busy schedule for a little guy and he is doing really well and making progress all of the time.
Last night we ate at the Martinellis. Uncle Mike got some very big t-bone steaks but the only takers were me, mike and gramps. We all did justice to our steaks although they told me I did not do very well with the bone.
It is Friday morning now and tonight I will be going to the Giants game with Linda and Mike and Linda’s work crew.  The weather has been cold so I am glad I brought my good jacket. I am sure this will be a lot of fun and as I have not been to the new park I am looking forward to it.
More tomorrow.
